Amulet uses high grade T-1 and AR400 abrasion resistant steel in critical components of their thumbs. Amulet excavator thumbs are the best choice for small machines used for landscaping, land clearing, or other general purpose jobs. For the ST models machines should not exceed 6,000 lbs, CT models are recommended for larger machines up to 50 tons.

4 of 5 Amulet Thumb for small Mini Ex April 6, 2022

The Amulet thumb for small mini-Ex that I purchased was built solid and was no problem to get welded on my machine. The requirement that the auxiliary hydraulic system be adjusted to 2,000 PSI, however, was not at all straightforward for my machine.  I got support from the manufacturer and purchased hydraulic pressure relief valves, but my Kubota dealer couldn’t help me install them and so-far I haven’t gotten around to finishing this project.  I’ve got the thumb tied in place with a band strap till I get someone to help me install the valves.  Maybe in a couple of months when I have time.  Manufacturer was helpful as could be expected.

Powerbrute hydraulic excavator thum for 1-3 ton excavators.
At this point I am still working out the hydraulics so not in actual use. I have welded the unit on an am very satisfied with the construction of the thumb and instructions. I wish that there was more help in the hydraulic hookup to my particular excavator but completely understand that this would be impossible given the many, many different applications. Overall, very satisfied.
