What Are Premium Materials?
DOM stands for "Drawn Over Mandrel". This means that after the pipe has been rolled and welded it is drawn over a precise mandrel to make the wall thickness consistent throughout the entire pipe. This means uniform thickness, no weak spots, and a stronger tube. DOM tubing costs more and is harder to get, which is a small price to pay to have the most WICKED grapple on the market.
Hardox is a patented line of steel from global steel giant SSAB. Hardox 450 has some amazing properties that make it the best material to make a grapple, and we don't use it sparingly. Almost every piece of our Wicked Grapples is made from Hardox 450 armor plating to make it lighter, stronger and more wear resistant.

The Wicked Lid
We did what they said was impossible on the lid of our Wicked Root Rake Grapples. The lid on all of our Wicked Root Rake grapples have a serrated horizontal Hardox 450 channel spanning entirely across the end of the tines ***PATENT PENDING HORIZONTAL GRIPPERS. This channel greatly increases the lid's strength and makes it ideal to rake loose material into a pile or groom and smooth soil for seeding. Raking backwards is something that most other manufacturers do not allow even in loose material. Back dragging with the lid is a common task that this style grapple is made for but will void the warranty on inferior grapples.
