Tractor Scrape Blade Showcase
Choosing the best scrape blade for your tractor is kind of like choosing the right pair of shoes for your feet. You obviously need to select the best size, which is fairly straightforward, but you also need to choose a blade with the functions required to get the desired jobs done. Scrape blades, otherwise known as grader blades or snow plows, are versatile tractor tools that can be used for many loose material applications including, but not limited to, snow removal, gravel spreading, mulch smoothing, dirt grading, and ditch forming. Speaking of ditches, keeping your driveway side ditches clear and free of debris is one of the most popular uses for our versatile tractor scrape blades because most of them have the ability to offset the moldboard to the left or right, which will extend it beyond your tractor's tire footprint. This is a very nice function to have, but besides having the function, it's even nicer to offset our blades by simply pulling a pin or actuating it hydraulically, which is something you can outfit multiple EA scrape blade models with. If you need help choosing the proper blade for your tractor and applications, feel free to reach out to our expert sales staff.

Important Terminology
These are some important descriptive terms, referring to the different functions a scrape blade can be outfitted with. Combine all three of these options, and you'll have the most ability and versatility, which is what the majority desires.
Angle Function Scrape blade angle function is the most common one you'll find, even on most entry level blades. This allows you to turn the moldboard and generally has a few settings, to the left and right. When it comes to those settings, more is better, which will enable the operator to better dial in the optimal angle for various tasks. Besides having forward angle settings, most nicer blades in the industry allow the user to turn the blade 180 degrees, so you're also able to use it in various angles while traveling in reverse. Because the scrape blade moldboard pivots on a main angle pin, otherwise known as a "king pin", this area is a very crucial spot when it comes to the need for structural integrity. At EA, we use Hardox 450 steel and other design criteria in areas like that, to ensure our blades are ready to perform optimally on the tractor range we recommend for each model.
Tilt Function The ability to tilt your scrape blade is a very desirable and useful function in which many cheaper value models do not offer. When you tilt a scrape blade, it results in one side of the blade being lower than the other, which is great and essential for creating or cleaning out driveway drainage ditches, or road side ditches. Having a tilt function is an important consideration, but being able to easily actuate it, in our opinion, is equally as important. All but one blade by EA has a tilt function, and the ones which do have the ability to tilt will allow you to make the adjustment, either by simply pulling a pin, or even easier, by hydraulically actuating it.
Offset Function Offset function on a scrape blade gives you the ability to move the moldboard to the left or right, which will extend it beyond your tractor's tire footprint. When you compare a simple, entry level scrape blade and a more premium, deluxe model, the ability to offset the moldboard will create much separation between the two. If you want the most versatility for a wide variety of tasks, offset is truly a must, but let's be a little more specific. There are manufacturers out there who advertise offset scrape blades, but the procedure to offset the moldboard frequently requires you to physically unbolt the moldboard and reinstall it to the left or right. Having to use tools every time is far from easy or convenient, and that's why the procedure to offset an EA scrape blade is as easy as pulling a pin, and then swinging over the entire assembly, or, even better, to hydraulically actuate it from the comfort of your seat.
This premium EA scrape blade is shown in the angled, tilted, and offset position. Demand the Best.
