Tractor Box Blades, Taken Very Seriously
At Everything Attachments, we take everything intended for our customer's tractors seriously, and our experience with box blades goes wayy back in time. You see, prior to ever making, or even thinking about making an EA box blade, Ted used many other box blades, spanning from his childhood up through his adult years, in which he used, tore up, fixed, and sold about every brand in existence. Knowing how to use an attachment, and knowing how the attachment should perform under a large variety of circumstances is very important when designing the best attachment. Besides knowing how the overall design should be laid out, knowing the best materials and structural features, along with what material to use where, is very crucial. Because of all his experience, Ted has created a very impressive lineup of box blades, so we can recommend the BEST box blade for small, subcompact tractors, up to 150+ horsepower machines.
Proudly Made in the USA!
Why a Box Blade?
To those who know a lot about tractors and attachments, the need for a properly designed and matched box blade is a no brainer because it is one of the most versatile attachments you can hook to a tractor. Besides serving as very good, maneuverable source of ballast, a box blade can be used for creating and maintaining trails, paths, driveways, roads, pads or anything else that comes in your way, the box blade can also create drainage ditches and side ditches for new or existing paths. You can easily move and grade loose dirt, gravel, sand, mulch, and snow, or loosen up hard, compacted surfaces with ripper shanks, or as some guys call them, scarifiers. Having curved, reversible and replaceable cutting edges is a must, when it comes to choosing a good box blade, and every single cutting edge used in the EA factory is just that, and also USA Made, which adds even more value, vs cheap chinese or indian made edges used by most everyone else in the tractor attachments industry. Having cutting edges, otherwise known as moldboards, on the front and back, means the box blade can be used going forward or reverse, and each direction of motion can have its advantages. In order to use a box blade in reverse, it needs a cutting edge on the back, but the hitch assembly also must be built substantially enough to withstand the traction a properly sized tractor can produce, and you better believe our box blades are up to the task.
Ripper Shank Considerations The first point of ground contact on a box blade is the ripper shank, otherwise known as a scarifier, and this means that, especially when in difficult, rocky soil or soil mixed with roots, the ripper shank must be strong and proven, especially if you want to avoid issues with bending and breakage. For years, we've used the best "off the shelf" ripper shanks available from outside suppliers, which is all that anyone else in the industry can do, although most subpar manufacturers don't demand the best, even when outsourcing shanks. But at EA, even the best we could outsource always left us with a desire for better. At our factory, you'll find the best state of the art machines that can be bought, so we're able to cut through incredibly rigid, premium material like butter with our lasers. Because of this ability, we chose to end the outsourcing of ripper shanks for the majority of box blades we produce, and this was quickly proven to be a very wise decision. Making our Wicked ripper shanks out of 100% Hardox steel, which is absolutely the hardest, most abrasion resistant material you'll find on ANY box blade money can buy, results in a serrated ripping component that's ready for the most abusive applications. The ripper shank teeth serrations greatly increases digging and ripping ability, even in the toughest of conditions. Besides being composed of the best material and having an optimal shape for digging, our Wicked rippers eliminate the need of pressed on tips, which is absolutely a weak point with everyone else's shank. Aside from the obvious strength and functionality superiorities, icing on the cake is our patented easy adjust design, which eliminates the need for aggravating, knuckle busting pins. Instead of "normal" pins, our shanks have notches, which fit into laser cut holes in the tube, so you simply pull a peg, use the integrated hand grip to slide the shank up or down, and then drop the peg back in. We even chain the pegs onto the tube, so you don't have to worry about losing them. Demand the Best. Choose EA. If you need help choosing the best box blade for your tractor and application, our expert sales staff is ready to assist.
